To this day, this movie scares the bejesus out of me. I was about 17 when I saw it, and I remember not being able to sleep alone in my room for about a week... okay, maybe two weeks... okay, I had to sleep on the floor next to my parents' bed.
The Exorcist is rightfully labelled "the most terrifying movie of all time". Usually I enjoy watching thriller and horror movies, but this movie was just on another level for me. I wish I could forget it, because naturally I think about it when I'm in my apartment by myself.
I'm sure most of you have also seen this movie, and maybe you also wish that you never did? The image of the possessed girl crawling backwards down the stairs and her yelling in that demon voice will forever haunt me.
But what can I do? Just when I think I've forgotten this horror of a movie, they remake it or there's a sequel or it's on TV. I guess I'll never be able to escape the memory. Maybe you haven't seen it? If so, don't! It's too late for me, but save yourself!
I know how it feels...! But if I could rewind the time, I still would choose to watch it although it did have some influence on me, too...
