It’s been a while since I’ve bought an actual CD. And by “a while”, I mean ten years. It’s just always been very hard for me to spend that much money on an album if I’m going to end up listening to only four or five songs on it anyway.
I know many people get their kicks out of collecting their favorite artist or band’s actual album, and I think that’s really good. Thank goodness for iTunesand Frostwire for providing us with the option of downloading individual songs. That works for me!
I guess if I still bought CD’s, I would probably have purchased Adele’s latest album. She has an amazing voice and all her songs are beautiful. That would’ve been my currently most played CD.
I’m actually curious to know; do you still buy actual CDs or know of anyone who does?

I still buy cd's! I tend to gravitate towards the "hidden gems" or the songs that don't come out as singles. I could probably save money if I just downloaded the hits, but I would miss out on a lot!
ReplyDeleteI am that kind of person who likes to collect and I have to have real thing in my hands, like books, my dad always said I spent every penny I had on buying albums (well, before I discovered the greatness of shopping shoes, bags, and clothes). :-)
ReplyDeleteMy laaste cd wat ek gekoop het was Piet en Danie, wat ek in die kar kan luister.
ReplyDeleteI still buy CDs. I'm probably about 70-30 with my music habits. 70% buying CDs, 30% buying singles or MP3 albums. I really like having hard copies of stuff, and looking at album artwork is nice too. I also like having a back-up in case my computer crashes and I don't have the files anymore. Always good to have a hard copy!
ReplyDeleteI don't buy CDs anymore, but if I really like a particular artist I'll download their entire album from iTunes out of respect. I did that with Adele's CD and it's really good. I can't even tell you what the last CD I actually purchased was. My guess is Rascal Flatts.
ReplyDeleteAdele is simply amazing. And I don't really buy CDs anymore either. iTunes is great because of the individual songs! Occasionally I buy an album on there if it's on sale!

I still buy CDs every now and then of artists I really like...can't help myself! Enjoying following your 30 day challenge!
ReplyDeleteI also haven't bought a CD for years and years, but funnily enough, the other half bought me Adele's album for Christmas. It's wonderful (and beats listening to nursery rhymes!)
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to her since Christmas. :)
